Biological Working mechanisms

Spark Waves are highly-effective shockwaves that trigger different biological responses. As you can see in the following picture, there are many factors and molecules involved in the response to the physical Spark Wave.

Cascade

Clinical studies confirmed that the physical energy of the non-invasive Spark Wave re-initiates the the stagnating healing process in a subacute and chronic state and initiates a quick and effective healing process in an acute stadium. The Spark Wave-Energy influences many different mechanism and molecules and induces

  • the body´s own production of growth factors such as VEGF, eNOS, PCNA etc.
  • the new promotion of blood vessels (angiogenesis & vasculogenesis)
  • an improved blood flow and cell proliferation
  • the migration of stem cells

The production of growth factors as mentioned above has different effect on a cellular and makro-cellular level. More growth factors enhance the cell proliferation and cell growth and therefore initiates tissue regeneration. The above-mentioned factors and enzymes – Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), Endothelial NOS (eNOS) and Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA) – are all involved in tissue regeneration. The VEGF promotes vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. The eNOS helps to improve the blood supply through a relaxation of the muscles of blood vessels. A high level of PCNA promotes cell proliferation and is an important factor in the S-Phase of the cell-cycle.

In addition, the physical characteristics of the Spark Wave shows low negative pressure levels. As mentioned here, it is the negative pressure that is responsible for harmful side effects. This negative pressure is as low as possible in Spark Waves and therefore allows a treatment without tissue damage.
